One of our passions in equine practice is poor performance work ups. From the humble trail horse to the pony club horse, to the million-dollar race horse, if your horse is not performing like you know it can, we can try to find the cause and work out how to treat it.
We are fortunate enough to have the latest in portable diagnostic equipment- digital x-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, and ECG. We can perform most diagnostic tests in the field including lung wash, post exercise scope, nerve blocks and more.
These examinations can potentially take a long time, so we try to avoid booking them in the afternoon. Please be prepared to put aside several hours of your day for complex cases.
Typically, we will require a suitable area to trot the horse up (any flat even surface), and access to mains power if x-rays are required.
